Susquehanna State Park is located along the west bank of the river of the same name, just north of the small town of Havre De Grace. Several woodland trails offer scenic views of the river and surrounding valley. Many small streams flow down the banks of the valley into the river, but they're hard to find unless you're well off the beaten path. There are also several old mills and museums in the area that portray arts and crafts from the early-mid 19th Century. The Susquehanna rises in western PA, joins a smaller branch that originates in New York, and empties into the Chesapeake Bay. It's the largest river on the East Coast of the US that empties (ultimately) into the Atlantic Ocean.
