Hey I'm new to this forum. This is my first post. I took a bunch of pictures of my little brothers tournament this weekend with a 50mm 1.8. I had to crop down a LOT and I think they turned out pretty good.. here are a few. Tell me what you think..

I like the second one best. try cropping it at the players waist and re-post it. I think it may have more impact. The last one I would give a go with a B&W conversion.

1 & 3 just don't do it for me. The one where the player is about to touch the plate makes me want it to be a play at the plate instead of the player just running across.

Color and exposure look spot on.

For me, eyes and good action are what I look for. 2 and 3 are the best out of this series for me. But I would still want a closer crop on both to make them more intense. I want to feel like I'm in the huddle or the catcher!! The guy in the white shirt in 3 doesnt help and the kid warming up behind the batter in 2 doesnt help.

thanks for the tips! Ill try it out this weekend.

Keep in mind I couldn't really crop too much more because I was using a 50mm from about 40 feet away haha.

Not being smarty, but you will need something longer. These are very good for using a 50mm. Good job with that.
