Does anyone know if Canon has any "Mk II" versions of its consumer primes in the works? Specifically the 50mm f/1.4, 28mm f/1.8, 35mm f/2, etc. Sorry if this has been discussed before, I didn't really know what to search for.

If they know, I suspect that they are under legal obligations not to say.
So I suspect rest is just all rumors.
I would personally guess no.

Lol, I'm a little nervous about buying a wide-aperture Sigma. Chances of AF calibration required = 75%

canon normal and wide non L primes lens suck compared to what other makers are offering, namely sigma. you can buy sigma or you can buy L. those are the choices.

So what if you have to calibrate it? It might take a week or two but it's free if you bought it new. It's not like you have to calibrate it all the time, do it once and you have a really sharp lens. I've seen a lot of Canon 85mm 1.8 needing calibration including my own, spot on after calibration.
