I've been lurking on the forum for a while now, and thought I'd register and start contributing. I also hope that now that I'm registered I won't have to enter captcha to search the forums.

I almost gave up trying to register. The captcha here is ridiculously hard to read. It probably took me almost 10 tries to register--and that's with clicking "refresh image" numerous times because they were just so ridiculously hard to read.

I'm an IT Consultant, and am active on many forums. I've never encountered a more anti-human captcha then what you guys have here.

Anyhow, I made it in... it was really frustrating... but I made it! Just thought I'd share my experience.

Welcome to the forum. I have encountered tough captchas too and had to refresh multiple times before giving up in disgust and decide they don't really want me to register and look elsewhere for the information I seek.

Same with me. I barely managed to find one I could read after multiple refreshes, and I got a lot of them wrong in the process.

You're not the only one who has commented on this, and yet, we still get spammers. Nothing is 100% effective. Maybe it is tough to read to keep the riff raff out of here. :D;)

You've just passed the first initiation test, wait and see what you have to do to get the key to the executive washroom! :-)

Welcome to the forums.

Sorry about the difficulty but yet you are now here, welcome!
Hard CAPTCHA does prevent robots and that is why it is so. We do get some spammers but those are human, and they can get past verification.
