I like them both generally. In the first though your color is a bit too saturated. Taking it back down just a tiny bit would improve it as would still be strong, but less obviously overworked. I kind of feel the same about the second one, but maybe a bit less strongly.

I JUST started playing with PP (Nik Vivieza and LR3) and I think I have become a bit to COLOR happy.

Glad to hear your comments as I will definitely work on not going SO crazy.

I love the first one. I actually like the saturation on it. the only place where I see any potential for correction is in that middle strip of yellow. but I don't see that as necessary at all.

the clouds are in pretty much the perfect position for this shot. really beautiful.

Its a fine line, and honestly its hard to tell where that line is. I really like the strong colors in the first, but like it was noted above the yellow seems overworked. Keep in mind that you are asking a group of photographers and I'm attuned to oversaturating images because I've done it myself. A non photographer might be simply amazed at the image with no thought to the PP being too strong.

Thank you.

I agree with your assessment.

I am going to start toning it down a bit. I have 4 versions of this, with different levels of saturation. My wife LOVES this pic with the saturation. But, I want to find out what the advanced hobbiest and pros think. I want to get better - faster.

Used to love supersaturated slides but these are so "punchy", they almost knocked me out.
