I can't believe i pulled the trigger on the 35L i agonized for weeks but i think it would be the perfect fit for me on the t2i. Anybody have this combo on the t2i, and what are your thoughts about the combo good idea?

You can't go wrong with the 35 L. It is an excellent lens on crop and full frame.

I had a 35L on a T1i and loved it. When taking pictures of my very young kids, flashes were just too obtrusive, the f/1.4 really came in handy. I've since moved to a 7D, and haven't changed my opinion on the lens.

I had the sigma 30mm on my 40D and now I have the 35L on my 5D2. It's a great lens! Enjoy it and we want to see some pictures in the archive!

I use the 35f2 on the T2i and would be delighted to have the 35f1.4. The 35f2 is sharp, but probably not as good as the L at f2, and it can't do f1.8 or f1.4.

Congrats. I want one too, but not quite as brave as you apparently!

It's one of my dream lenses once sports shooting ends after basketball season early in 2011.

yeah it's my dream lens I had the sigma 30 but couldn't stand the focus issues so I finally cracked and got it. I had the 7d but took it back for the less weight off the t2i, to much weight too carry around all day with the L lenses plus I love the auto iso limit off the t2i.

I also bought the tamron 17-50vc anybody think I should return it or is a good combo with the 35L. I think once I start using the 35L it's never coming off my camera.

I'm sure it's great but I have a hard time believing that it's worth 1k more than the canon 35 f2...it's probably not 3x better

Congrats - 35mm is a good FL for a crop. I had the 35mm f2 and now a Sigma 30mm 1.4 for my 7d and it is my most used lens
