30 seconds for each shot, at 14mm ISO3200 on a 5DII.
Nothing special, just took the shots and stitched with PtGUI pro.
So you used a stitching program with that too? Couldn't have been too many with a 14mm lens. 2 maybe 3 I'm guessing?

CameraMan Cream of the Crop More info | Looking for help on this one... I think I was not in a dark enough spot... It was pitch black where I was but apparently there were some lights a ways down from where I was. What's the recommendation for distance from any light?

Light clouds can make the larger stars really glow and pop out, which can be nice. Oh, yah. I see what you're saying about the clouds. We're actually expecting some nasty storms tonight and it was starting to get cloudy out. If I'd have known whatthay was I might have tried the stitching thing like Luigis did with his. I'll remember next time. Photographer

Have you tried the drift method? I aligned my permanent pier using the drift method. I used a webcam so i could watch a star on my computer screen then let my telescope run and adjust the pier accordingly until it's aligned... Cameras - Canon 350D, 5D
