Actually, you processed it to quite a nice end...


Gripped 7D, gripped, full-spectrum modfied T1i (500D), SX50HS, A2E film body, Tamzooka (150-600), Tamron 90mm/2.8 VC (ver 2), Tamron 18-270 VC, Canon FD 100 f/4.0 macro, Canon 24-105 f/4L,Canon EF 200 f/2.8LII, Canon 85 f/1.8, Tamron Adaptall 2 90mmf/2.5 Macro, Tokina 11-16, Canon EX-430 flash, Vivitar DF-383 flash, Astro-Tech AT6RC and Celestron NexStar 102 GT telescopes, various other semi-crappy manual lenses and stuff.

Man I miss taking shots like these but however living where a lot of light pollution is makes it pretty hard to shoot.

Each photo is a 1 minute exposure at F2.8 ISO1600.

Very nice Luigis. I love the texture in the dust lanes and Rho Ophiuchi and ... well, there's so much in there. That would make a nice floor to ceiling print.

Ty Steve, I also liked the color and contrast in the Rho Ophiuchus area. The longer the focal length the better it looks because in a wide angle shot the color gets washed too soon. I want to try another mosaic with a longer FL but it really gets difficult to get all the individual shots.

Holy cow! That is amazing. I think this just made my decision for me -- I have to get an AstroTrac. My current Sirius EQ-G mount is way too cumbersome to travel with.
