Here is the big image. I see that 1 distant galaxy but according to stellarium it was the NGC 2976 galaxy. I do not know why there is a circle where its lighter, any tips on that? I dont know if its my processing or if its glare from the moon hitting the telescope tube??

QUOTED IMAGE

what size extension tube are you using?

I just shot this. The moon and Jupiter. You can see Ganymede (left), Io (a little to the right), and Callisto (far right) in the small image that I blew up from the big one. Europa is in front of Jupiter and to the low right but I can't see it.

800 f5.6 wide open. Handheld. Yep, hand held. I couldn't turn the lens up enough when it was on the tripod so I figured what the heck

A shot of Jupiter and a few of it's many moons taken tonight before the clouds rolled in. My first attempt at it.

Not up to the standard of most shots here, but I was happy with the result considering it was taken while travelling at 800 kph (500 mph) above the clouds!

I'd say it's right up to standard.

I got to sit right seat in a Lear 25 at altitude once. We were eastbound with a strong tail wind from the jet stream. I'll never forget that nor will I forget the ILS to minimums in Denver later that night. It was snowing and visibility was 500' in blowing snow.I got to see how a professional pilot makes his living that night... awesome stuff.

That's very nicely processed NCHANT. You've brought out lots without over-cooking it. Well done.

Steve.

I couldn't find any file info in the EXIF so will only have to take your word for it . Even with a 50mm f/1.8 it's unbelievable with those settings .
