Wow! for a single 30 second exposure, that is incredible. Great job Dimitrios! I can only imagine your result if you were to stack several of those together.

I'm not a fan of the treatment of M42 in this image but I love the wide Orion on your Flickr page. You should post that here for all to see.

It's amazing how much difference a modified camera, and f/1.8 will make...

For Valentine's day the Rosette Nebula

Canon 5D Mark III, 300L f2.8 + 1.4x extender
left: 1/125 f5 ISO 100
right: 1/2 sec f4.5 ISO 2000

We rarely have clear nights here in my area. I live east of Los Angeles and all their smog gets blown and trapped here by our mountains.

But one night it was actually pretty clear(well clear for living in the middle of downtown).
I got a bit of star trail with the long exposure, I didn't know how fast stars actually move!

10D + 18-55mm mark 1 lens(horrible copy)

It's not so much that the stars are moving (although they are), the motion blur from the longer exposure is more due to the Earth's rotation on its axis. Still a good shot of Orion though.

We were out looking for the northern lights when i took these 2 captures.

Both with 70-200 and 5DIII

2.5 seconds at f/2.8 ISO 6400 the Andromeda was a 5 second exposure.

Good shot for such a rudimentary set-up.

This is my first image using my new Celestron AVX mount.Camera is a Canon 5D with 100-400L @400mm, iso 1600.80 lights x 5 sec. 10 darks stacked in DSS.It's my first time using a go-to tracking mount so I'm still learning,but I think it's ok for a start.

Well done and welcome to the slippery slope of astrophotography.
It looks like you could do with a sensor clean and/or shoot some flat frames. I like the detail in M42, especially for a first effort.
