Lately while using my 055XPROB with 488RC2 ball head, I had a slight dip when the ball head was tightened. The amount though small was significant and the same amount.
I did look at the new 498RC2 and noticed that it does not "dip" as much as the old 488.
Could be the new friction control?
I was using the 7D with 100 Macro f/2.8 L IS.
Just thought I would ask.
