I have been asked to cover a ceremony of someone getting promoted. They and other speakers will be speaking that night. My question it. Would it be wise to sit a flash on the floor in front on the podium to light the person. This will be in a ballroom with low ambient light. I will be shooting with a 50D Siggy 70-200 f2.8. I want to do this so that I can be in the back of the room getting each speaker with out being right in front.
