WHOA!! Look at the compression of that baseball... ^ ^ ^

GREAT capture!

I am guessing at this age they are using "soft" hardballs as we do at this age group.

It's the metal bat that causes this effect. ;)

Probably because the shot of his back just doesn't work. I'll bet the capture from the other side would have been killer though....

I didn't shoot a lot of baseball this year, but this was my favorite. If only the school would move that darn port a potty. Its in all of my shots at 2nd base.

Everyone has taken the shot from the front. That is the reason I did it from the back. It shows his power. That photo has been picked up from me more than any other photo I have taken.

I have to agree with Harley...the reason everyone has taken the shot from the front, is because this shot needs to be taken from the front! Sports photography, 99% of the time is capturing facial expressions of athletes...if you photograph the strain and intensity on his face, I think that would be a better representation of his power than a shot of his backside.

That photo doesn't show power in any way or form.

Congratz on the photo being picked up...and congratz on liking what you have done. In my opinion it is not a very good photo...but since I am not your client...it doesn't really matter what I think.
