Oct 31, 2010 18:09 | #6 I shoot in manual mode, and try to get enough exposure to see the background beyond flash range. For this rink, they were ISO 3200, F4 and 160. For slower teams, I can go down to 1/125 shutter, but try to stay at F4 for the action shots to get enough DOF to keep most of the pack in focus. Depending on uniform colors, I sometimes have to dial flash comp down 1/3 - 2/3 stops to keep from blowing them out, especially white uniforms. Gear List
