All of these pictures were taken with either a 24-70mm L f2.8 or 50mm f1.4. Critiques are welcome.

8. A Black & White version since no one likes the cross process textured version.

These are really pretty, I like the PP. My only crit is that she has the same head-tilt/pose in every frame...

Some really nice shots with a lot of personality.

The first two are good captures, but the processing doesn't really work for me - mainly the texture on the subject (especially on skin) and the yellow is a bit much.

Is there a medical reason why her neck is always kinked to her left side? It makes for a nice shot here and there, but it is repeated in most of the shots. Some varied poses would round the set out better.

How come she has the same pose in every single picture? I hope you took some pictures with different poses.

Textures in #1, 2, and 5 are way too distracting. They're ruining otherwise good pictures.

#3 is cute (especially the tongue one) but would be nice if they were different pose.

Wow, very different than the ones I just posted, LOL.

I have to say, I enjoy different kinds of treatments, as long as they are minimal (maybe one out of 10, including B&W), but the first, really yellow just doesn't do it for me (though I'm sure the photography is great.)

I agree about the pose/tilt. Hopefully she did something else. I also have issues of personal taste (I don't like really sexy teen poses and clothes), but that's up to the kid and parents, so for me #6 & 7 are the best and really shine, both in style and photography. :)

Wow, I never really noticed the head tilt on all the picture I posted until now! lol

YankeeMom, could you tell me what pictures are considered "sexy"? I would say the seniors of today love the edgey (not sexy) pictures. What I mean by edgey is the processing with the textures, ect. Otherwise, my work would look like the 1980's senior portrait photographer that they don't give a second look at anymore because its BORING. Trying to keep up with the times! = )

#6 & #7 were the easiest to photograph because I controlled the lighting. The rest of pictures I was having fun in photoshop and maybe over done it.

Well, I admit to being old-fashioned about this, in spite of what the kiddos want. :)

I like the treatments. I used similar treatments as well on my youth shots. Keeping up with the times is never a bad thing as long as the photo under the treatment is sound and well composed.

BTW, if anyone was wondering I used GetTotallyRad actions for the textures.

very pretty. only thing for me is in the 1st two shots the area near her head is overexposed so it's kind of hard to look at her face. also there was only like one picture where her head wasn't tilted haha. overall i like them a lot though.
