Even when using natural lighting a little catchlight goes a long way. I've started taking mine with me where ever my wife and I go now, just to get a little better results with the shots of my little boy because I want the best results for my own family shots.

Actually I have a 580 ex II but im not yet the master of it. I will do flash as soon as I know the basics of it. Thanks for the tip! 5D Mark III, 5D mark II, EF 50mm f/1.2L USM, EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM, Tokina 11-16mm F2.8, EF 24mm-105mm f/4.0L IS USM

Set your camera to aperture or shutter speed priority (whichever desired) and have the flash to automatic. As whitehouse said, too, simply using the white reflector on a photo like this will add a nice catch light. Just play with it and you'll feel more confident and see the difference.
