This is the SECOND time I've had this problem, this time with a different new 32gb class 6 sd card. Was out taking pictures today and for the second time in the short period I've owned this camera I got a "card cannot be accessed reinsert/change the card or format with camera" after about 150 shots. The first time this happened (with the other card) there was nothing I could do, nothing (pc or camera) was able to format the card and I had to return it- microcenter refunded me (though I never tried recovery tools). I bought another, more expensive card and now it happened again. Both were 32GB class 6 cards. I'm in the process of trying to use photorec to recover the files and it looks like it will work(still processing). Bottom line is if this is a "feature" of this camera what is Canon doing about it? Anyone else have this problem?

I had this exact same problem with my T2i last weekend!
Looks like i'm not the only one with this issue.
I'm really beginning to think this is going to become a problem with many people.

Cameras don't have the ability to screw up flash based memory from a file system perspective, so why would you think it is automatically 100% the cameras fault? In fact, there are so many things than can and do go wrong with SDHC cards I would almost always think the card is bad.

I suspect you got 2 bad cards as unlikely as that may seem. For example, A Data is known for having a high failure rate.

seems odd to have 2 identical problems in such a short period of use with different cards. I was able to recover the files with photorec on a PC and was able to do a low level format with the camera on this latest sd card. We'll see if it happens again. I suspect many of these cards are made by the same manufacturer and just have different labels on them, and very different prices for the same exact card with different labels...

I would think that if a camera is able to DO a low level format on a card, then it could just as easily screw up that formatting if something went wrong...

I had this problem- subsequently realizing that there is a lock feature on SD cards, like on floppy disks. might this be the problem?
