These were taken using a EN8 welding glass as a ND filter

Nice series; you did a nice job on correcting the color cast. I especially like #1, well done.

I have just started using welding glass as a filter.:)
Glad you like them the conditions were not good the rain was pouring down which made for dark overcast skys :D

Reminds me of what I would picture the outskirts of Brigadoon to of looked like (if it were real).

Pfftttt.... went there a year ago with the specific mission of taking that last shot of yours... for three days we had nothing but rain, cloud and crap... we stayed at the Kings House hotel and it was just the worst photographing holiday I've ever had....... three days of stunning landscape and not a sign of the sun to be seen... that stream was about five foot wider and roaring!... nice photos though :)
