Hi all,
I will be going to zion canyon over thanksgiving, and was wondering if i need to get a wide-angle, fast zoom lens. i love taking sunset/rise pictures, and find that my photos turn out better if i include objects - meaning that i need a fast lens to stop the motion (due to wind etc.) Here is what I currently have:
18-55 canon kit lens (infrequent use)
sigma 18-200mm 3.5-6.3 dc os (stays at home most of the time)
ef 35mm f/2.0 (gets me some cool pictures)
smc takumar 55mm f/1.4 (nice, but manual focusing on the 450d is painful)
ef 85mm f/1.8 (good for potraits, but I rarely take any..)
I would like to minimize lens changes etc. so that more dust does not get on my sensor. Given these lenses, i am looking to get a (ultra)wide-normal zoom (10-22mm canon, or tamron/sigma 17-55mm f/2.8)..Is this a good idea? i love shooting with primes, but lens changes and the hassle of carrying 3 primes (yes, i have backpacked with 3 primes
) may tilt the balance one way or the other..
