Birdies

Had this in another thread but realized I wouldn't mind some thoughts on the composition more than quality as I know that isn't good. These are heavy crops and am not sure how people can shoot these things at such close distance. I've seen great clean shots at not much more magnification.
Anyway, I thought these were interesting and not necessarily good, thanks for looking!

EDIT: I forgot to shoot them in RAW as well to see the difference in quality, so this is all the editing I could do without making them look even worse.

Birds flock to this tree and I can see why now.

The first actually has interesting framing; all I can think is "Birds of Prey". Nice shot. DoF adds a dramatic element, and the bird looks quit quizzical. I like it.

Thanks. These birds are insane. They fly at each other for the food here all around me, sometimes almost flying into me.
I have like zero experience with moving objects and moving at these speeds is no help haha.

Not a huge fan of the second two but the first is a nice shot. Perhaps it could be cropped abit though? alot of empy space in the right side of the frame.

Despite the heavy crops, your subjects are still a tad too small in the frame. Time for a hide, longer lens or feeding station.

Thanks guys. I thought the fact that the bird was running up the roof on the second was interesting but I know the quality's just bad.

I'll try and see what a different crop does with the first. The first is the only one that isn't a really heavy crop since I wanted to add the second bird in there.
