But neither has something that makes it really interesting. In the first one the colours are not (yet) autumnlike enough to be exiting. In the second the fence it too much the same in colour from the trees and the leaves on the ground to stand out. My name is Henk. and I believe "It is all in the eye of the beholder....."

Had there been, say, a person leaning over the rail looking to our left, that would make a big difference. vadenphotography.com

I 'm in agreement that there is nothing special about the compositions. Something, however, caught my eye with the wood fence. I hope to revisit that spot and give it another try soon. Otherwise, I'll learn from these and keep working at it. corkneyfonz wrote in post #11193275 I don't know what the hell is going on but both of your images looks awesome when viewed outside of potn and flickr, they have a colour and vibrancy that by comparison makes these look very poorly. I'm struggling with this myself. I'm processing all RAW images in LR3 and then exporting directly to flickr. In LR I see the processed images as I want them but I'm seeing a serious drop in IQ when they are converted jpeg. As mentioned the colors appear muted and darkened. I'm not sure what's going on. I've had to readjust the export settings several times on a few of them to get better quality. Brad's Gear | Flickr |

There ain't gonna be enough time to capture all the beautiful thing in the world, but I'm getting them one by one...
