The IS on my 17-85 is awesome. I was trying to tighten the aperture to increase the dof. I got it to f/6.5 at 1/3 sec, still pretty good but the shake was beginning to show ever so slightly. I should have tried ISO 800 but the kids wanted to eat the cake Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.
