hehe Thanks for the offer... but I think that particular courier would be able to handle this task pretty well and would let me avoid import taxes.

I just read through a lot of horror stories regarding local customs last night ahaha...

there was one particular incident where they sent a laptop through UPS that costs around $1500 CAD and were asked for around P11,000 in import tax or equivalent US$200.

haha sorry Adrian, if you haven't heard yet, some of the best doctors in the US are Filipinos too  :p:p

Those that go to hong kong are indeed applying for Domestic Helper, because Salary in HK for domestic helper is between US$200-US$400/month whereas here they only get around $100 or less.

and most of them don't have the skills nor the education for a better job position

A lot of them have university degrees.... but as you see below I think their choice isn't too bad considering...

And you're a little wrong about the salary. In HK it's AT LEAST $435USD a month (actually a little more). Not bad considering they get their tax paid for them and room and food is often free. Quite a lot earn enough to buy houses etc. back in the Philippines, it's not too bad a job in many ways.

How much do you earn a month again?! :p

As for Filipino doctors... I'm sure they're the best in the U.S. all the smart guys/gals seem to get out of the Philippines. :p j/k. :p
