Haven't edited any of these, just resized...(starting my B&W binge for the winter) but check this out.

Nikon GPS at work. Load it up in Lightroom 3...go to LIbrary, go into the metadata, click on the arrow link under GPS and it links it to google maps.

Weather was horrible, but we worked with what we had.

WOW!

The lakes around Michigan have taken many lives, and can be as brutal as the ocean.

The trick with shooting with the lens at 14mm is getting pretty much MFD from the object and start from there, and foot zoom. It's a wild style of shooting, but i'm starting to get the hang of it.

Hey Stealthy, you been visiting Nelson? That looks like our skyline....ALMOST! Actually it doesn't, but it's a cool shot. It's a WOW from me too.

Julian's been out "Wow!"ed

:p

You'll note in that shot while I'm getting the photo(s) the two Canon guys (KC and Perryge) are still fiddling with their cameras.

The Lighthouse path is really slippery and there's warnings all over, a lot of people have slipped off into the water. Wanted to show you how slick the surface was. It was prety crazy because it was raining, and winds were picking up. In the real bad storms the waves can easily go over the walkway and take you into the water. In the winter the ice freezes all over the whole thing and makes radical changes to the landscape, can't wait to go

another at 14mm to show the scale of it, with a little bit of lines thrown in for good fun.

GPS fun.

Look, I don't need a full Elinchrom set up. Out of anyone here, you should give me some suggestions.

The client wants a white background. :)

Get some CFL bulbs with those clamps at Home Depot and put one or two on your BG. My table has enough BG room to blast the BG without it affecting my main lights (except for the reflections I want to keep and am working on). Of course, CFL bulbs and clamps as main with diffusers and/or bounce cards. Most important thing I've learned from my limited shooting of food is that you have to know how much diffusion, if at all, to use.

I took a shot out my kids bedroom window.

Looks ok... but the point is that it's a handheld shot (70mm) at 0.4 second (24-70). Who needs VR when you're a ninja?! I ask you!

Father was teaching his son photography, I'm sending this to his email. (That's him teaching his son) after I edit it.
