Get some CFL bulbs with those clamps at Home Depot and put one or two on your BG. My table has enough BG room to blast the BG without it affecting my main lights (except for the reflections I want to keep and am working on). Of course, CFL bulbs and clamps as main with diffusers and/or bounce cards. Most important thing I've learned from my limited shooting of food is that you have to know how much diffusion, if at all, to use.

Thanks! I'm going to look for some lamps tomorrow. :)

Father was teaching his son photography, I'm sending this to his email. (That's him teaching his son) after I edit it.

I didn't know you lived so close to this lighthouse. I see images of this place all the time. :)

I don't. It's a 3 hour drive, but well worth it. My buddy and his gf's family have a house on Lake Michigan out there. So I go every once in awhile.

I suck at Photoshop.

I have another shot at a fast shutter speed, same exact composition. I'm thinking about cloning them out, and replacing them with a non-blurred version, if i'm not feeling lazy :P

I'd do that... if done right (which you will do) it will be great.

No prob. Not sure if it's an obvious thing by now or not but certain foods will look great in harsh lighting and others will look like vomit. Don't forget your F/11-F/18 settings.

Thanks! I intend to shoot with a small aperture. :)

Lol Ninja. French food is correct but don't know Canadian food I think.

If your food isn't going to be so close up that you can see parasites in them then F/22's good too. It's too much diffraction for most of my work but I imagine you can make it work with food. Hope we get to see some shots.
