Jewelry and stone photography, you use a lot of tilt/shifts?

I think the 45 PC-E or the 85 PC-E would be good for that sort of thing because they're macro lenses and you can use the tilt function to increase DOF if need be... avoiding defraction issues.

They have GPS geotagging hardware that's 3rd party that will work with canon cameras I believe Julian, you should look into it. I love it for organizing and cataloguing.

I suck at Photoshop.

If I start getting more gigs doing product photography, I'll invest in a 90mm PC-E.

Yeah I think it would be good for that sorta thing.

I'm assuming though you want a 90mm TS-E. Nikon don' t make a 90mm PC-E (they do make a 85mm PC-E though). :p

How about this one? It's in the same area as the above image. I had to do a bit of waiting for this one bcoz' a few people passed me by. Timing is everything.

Look, I don't need a full Elinchrom set up. Out of anyone here, you should give me some suggestions.

The client wants a white background. :)

JD, i honestly have never shot food, but i have done clothing and other stuff

i used 2 strobes with shoot through umbrellas on a white background, maybe for food i

would try one hard light and one shoot through, foamcore for reflectors or something like it

you can also buy white plexi from depot in the t-bar ceiling section for like $8.00

i might just have to try something like food just for kicks

lolol The pains of shooting 14mm.

Whoever spots what's wrong with this picture (besides wonky composition) wins the prize.
