Not just any strap. This thing balances weight perfect. I really dont feel the camera weight at all with it. Quick pick up shoot with not issues.

Yup Kirk I was at B&H with Mark (MDJAK) and he has an RS-4. Its awesome. The Sport strap has an expansion slot so i think ill add a card holder there.

My only beef with the RS-4 is that the padded part will work its way down sometimes, Looks like the Sport version has corrected this. Might have to add one to the list

That is very possible. I upgraded from a 1D2 to a 1D3 right before I went over to Nikon.
I liked the 1D3 I just did not like Canon customer service:D

Yup it locks in very comfortable with the design shape of it. Have you looked into getting this add on for your RS-4:

Mark has it for his RS-4 because at the time he bought it the Sport version didnt exist.

Well Julian makes it seem like they're shipping it now?

he said he preordered it, so I guess it means its still not available yet

Some make one last grasp for the light before completely converting to Nikon. I did and I wish I wouldn't have. The D700 focuses just as good as the 1D3 and I love the more compact body. Not to mention it just works.

That is a good upgrade. If I ever add a second body I will more than likely add a D3s or what ever comes after it. Unless they may a smaller body that can touch the noise control it has.

Have you had a bad experience with Nikon CS there Steven?
Honestly I know you can have bad CS from any company. I just dont like the way Canon insures my need for future non warrantied service needs
