Yup, pretty excited. We'll be in the Mayan Riviera. The Grand Paladium Kantenah is the name of the resort.

As for going from a colder climate to tropical? No problem. I plan on wearing shorts and sandles when we go to the airport in Calgary to fly out of Canada. Did the same thing when we went to Maui....hehe. It was about -10C with snow on the ground then too. :)

AHHH! I was at the Maya Riviera last year! Gorgeous place!

Go into one of those walk in freezers and stay there for about 15 minutes. Hold onto something frozen until you can't feel your fingertips. That will give you a slight idea of what it can be like around here.

Oh, and if you want a snowball fight then get your butt over here and we'll have a snowball fight!

We can go skiing too!

I want the tongue to pole kind of frost bite ahahaha just joking Melody

I did experience sliding down an indoor ski slope thing in Singapore and at first I did not wear/rent gloves... but my hands started to get numb so I eventually did

Freezing your tongue to a metal pole isn't frostbite. Frostbite is when you get so cold that your skin actually freezes. Fingers, toes, nose, cheeks, and ears are what usually get frozen first. Less blood flow to them. I got frostbite on a finger in highschool when we went tobogganing when it was -30 without the windchill.

Fake skiing isn't anywhere near to the real thing. Think thirty below, 40km/hr winds, snowing, standing on top of a mountain.

We'll be at the Grand Palladium Kantenah Resort & Spa. It's about 85km south of Cancun. here's a link to their website.
