You want to experience frostbite?? Most people try to avoid it, something about losing your fingers and toes is just not that appealing.
My frostbite was relatively minor but it sure hurt like h*** when it was thawing out. Took months to get proper sensation back.

i think i was almost on the verge of frostbite once. i had no mittens on for about 30 minutes outside in -25. they turned purple/blue and i lost all sensation and it was the most excruciating pain while they feeling was coming back.

is that close?

Pretty close. Frostbite is white, then black when the skin is dead. I was just at the white stage thankfully.
