Thanks Alex. It's nice to see you here. :D

It's getting a bit less busy at work with the holidays coming and various departments focusing more on their Christmas parties/pot lucks/Secret Santa (etc.) than actual work, lol!

I hear they are very comfortable. I see many people who work in hospitals here wearing them. Julian you have a pair ;)

I had a pair of those Crocs last year. After a while I got back pain bcoz' of all the walking I do. I have switched to Danskos. Imo, these are the best shoes for standing on your feet all day. These shoes look weird but, the foot bed is cushy and firm. I can stand all day in these things. They are expensive but, it's totally worth it.

Intresting. Never heard of these. Do they make oil slip proof versions? My father works on his feet all day and uses boots. I'm always on the look out for more comfortable options for him.

They are very comfortable.
Have a regular pair and they are very versatile, great for camping, canoeing, public showers, beach, etc.
Insulated pair are great slippers, warm and still waterproof.
They last forever too. $30 and you get several years worth of wear out of them, who cares if they aren't the most fashionable things around. And I really couldn't care less about fashion anyways.

  ??? ??? ???

I find Sketchers are very comfortable... I used to wear Merrel but switched to sketchers because their design is a lot better

I found these on the Dansko website. Hit the link for technical features.

Showers that are not in someone's private house. Like at a campground, or change rooms at the gym. A shower that many people use. Don't want to be barefoot in them, they are not always the cleanest.

Have a pair of Sketchers and a pair of Merrells that I just got. Sketchers are comfortable but have too much of a heel, hurt my back after awhile. Merrells are very comfy, got a pair of insulated/waterproof running shoe type for winter.
I went to a Sketchers outlet store and just started pulling shoes off the shelf and trying them on, about 90% of them fit comfortably, which is hard to do with my feet.

Most of my shoe money is spent on running shoes and work boots though, dressier shoes last me a really long time because I don't wear them often.

dont even get me started on all the kinds of things that you can catch from not wearing shoes in a public shower.

barf.

even going barefoot in someone else's house can cause problems. on a side note, i was just watching Pet Heroes on CMT and they were talking about a duck that was harassing people in Vancouver and finally someone followed her and her ducklings had fallen down a storm drain. of course it had a happy ending, they scooped the babies out. but at the end of the show, they showed the exact same view of a picture i took when i was there.

i was like HEY I TOOK A PICTURE FROM THE SAME SPOT!

I just use slippers in public bathrooms though... I think that kind of shoes is very heavy when wet
