October 16th was again Photographers Day as a fund raiser by the Bodie Foundation in the ghost town of Bodie, an Historic State Park in California. It was well worth the $50 entry fee to be the an hour before sunrise, not to mention several hours before visitor gates opened. This event had only 30 photographer show up for the day. Here is a couple from the day, and more can be seen on my Flickr site http://www.flickr.com …47698434/with/5129618946/ (external link)

Kevin, it's been awhile since you've posted here...good to "see you" again.

Nicely done images. I really like the starburst from the sun in the first shot. Those clouds make me believe it was cold there that day.

When I retire, I too will make the trek to Bodie. So many places to visit in my future.

I took a field trip there for a photography class a few years back. I wish I knew what I know now. It's a beautiful place. Great HDRs.

Love #1. Did you add the sun lines yourself or were they there in the shot?

These are really great. I so want to shoot there someday. It's on my list.

Love the treatment of your shots.

Due to the clouds there was a medium size sunburst, but I was after a more dramatic sunburst so I added this one on top of the original on a blended layer.
