I was looking at the LumoPro LP160 flash which is supposed to have the same power output as a Canon 580EX II. However at least one person tested his to not have consistent power output. After the ready light indicator, several seconds, and then a great deal longer produce difference light meter readings.
Can anyone verify?

I got mine today. In some quick tests, my one complaint is that the flash power is inconsistent. For example at 1/2 power into a reflective satin umbrella, I get about f/5.6 if I pop the flash right after the ready light goes on. If I wait a little bit longer, I get another 1/3 stop (f/6.3). If I wait a really long time, I get f/7.1 (+2/3 stop). Occasionally, I get f/5.0 instead of f/5.6. In comparison, a Canon 580 EX II at 1/2 power delivers a consistent f/7.1.
