on the rear shot, you could have easily got the whole car in... but obviously a little less angle.

So why post these?
Do you actually want any feedback on these shots or are you just trying to show off the rims or something? I'm confused...

nice shots

Dean,

Would you mind elaborating a bit on what you like about these shots?

I looked through your posting history and noticed you have posted a ton of very high quality images that show careful planning, patience, superb execution and very good post processing. Your photography is most certainly leaps and bounds above my abilities. Because of this, I cannot for the life of me figure out what you like about these shots that I'm not seeing?

Honestly? I think these photos are pretty bad...

The composition does absolutely do nothing for me, the car has tons of horrible reflections on it and power poles growing out of the roof. In the 2nd shot you can actually see your buddies standing around the car etc. So from a composition, framing, technical aspect, I can't see any positives about the image.

The processing also seems quite a bit over the top. Not sure if it's a high-pass sharpen you did on it that went a bit out of control or whatever else you did to the picture, but it looks way too strong.

And yes, the subject isn't your car and you had no time, I guess. But then what am I supposed to like about the picture? The main subject is supposed to be a car, I assume, but there wasn't even time to pull it out of a parking spot? Then why bother? If you just want to test the lens, post a picture of a fire hydrant or something instead.

Looking through your flickr account, you have some really nice photos out there. These two aren't it. Sorry...
