You are right. f you don't want startrails you only can increase ISO.

I have a Canon 400D and it is absolutely not possible to take a decent picture with ISO bigger than 400. Noise is horrible! So I am sentenced to always obtain startrails in this kind of pictures.

I have heard that if you overexpose the picture to the máximum without burning lights the noise is reduced drastically (even with high ISO) I have to ty it.

Agustin, that's sort of how these were done... most of the 20 or so shots I did were overexposed and then brought down in post.

I just ran the landscape version through a round of noise ninja, which helped things a bit. I had ran the others through it already but not that shot, so it should be a tad better now, hopefully.
