An A-10 Thunderbolt II from the 358th FS based at Davis-Monthan AFB lets loose a burst of milk-bottle sized 30mm rounds from the awesome GAU-8 Avenger canon.
(The small streak just above the pitot tube is actually a round going down range!)

1DMkIV + 500mm f/4L IS + 1.4X TC .. 1/800 @ f/6.3 ISO 100

Very nice shot and the black and white conversion works very well here.
