Hi

I'm off to Circuit Zolder in a couple of weeks. As I've never been before can anyone advise as to the best locations for shooting photographs?

Many thanks

Are you shooting spectator side, or do you have media access. I can help if you have media access, having been there a couple of times.

Hi

I hope to have media access, but that hasn't been confirmed yet.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Well let's assume that you are. Zolder is quite an easy track to work at, being quite compact, and plenty of gates and things to access the trackside areas. I reccomend trying to get there in plenty of time to locate these, as I can't specifically remember where they all are, but I think they are all pretty obvious.

I probably haven't been everywhere possible at the track, but for the "standard" shots, I will go through below.

Circuit map - http://motorizado.files.wordpress.com …addock-circuit-zolder.jpg (external link).

The first corner is good for a star shot on the outside. you can also go to the inside of the first corner.

I haven't been all the way around the first few corners, so I'm not sure how far you can go around the outside - if at all. The races I have done I have gone from the first corner to the first chicane, a short walk across the paddock. (Turn 4 on the map). A few different angles can be had from here.

They can also get it a bit wrong here!

Further round, in between the two chicanes there is a nice crest, to get a clear shot, Or you can shoot looser, framed by trees.

The second chicane has plenty of different angles to try, for example.

You can probably go round further, personally I haven't, but have done the inside and outside of Turn 6. The inside is nice in the morning, if it is sunny.

The last chicane has lots of oppurtunities from the inside and outside.

Thank you very much for the detailed advice. I appreciate your trouble.

I'll scout around and update you with anything I find.

Thanks again
