I have a Powershot S2IS permanently in the car for any photo moments I spot but it is a little big for the pocket. I find the 12x zoom quite useful especially if I'm parked up on the road.

I just bought the Canon S95 and I must say that it's a fantastic little sidekick.

Here are some of the first "test shots" I took with the "little guy" - These are all straight out of the camera jpegs with absolutely no processing at all:

1. Dubai airport, where I purchased the S95, using "miniature effect"

2. In the Yerevan Metro in Armenia

I have an SX100IS in a case that resides in the back seat of my truck. When I'm at work and we have to go sit at a fire standby I grab it or if a call sounds like we may fly out a pt I'll grab it. Don't really want to leave my nice cameras in my truck all the time throughout the heat and cold in MI. It takes pretty nice pics for a p&s.

Just ordered a S95 and do use Sony DSC-HX1 and TX-5 as well. The S95 will be my go to once I get it when I need a small camera, etc.

Nikon D4, Sony RX10, Sony RX100.
Past Gear: (most recently) 5D3, L's, etc.

I have been using the S95 for 2 weeks now. It has amazing ability for such a small camera. I have taken some decent pics with it. It's cool to be able to have the F/2.0 lens when you need it. It's a good back-up for a DSLR user if you want a VERY small camera to carry. Good choice.

Never go anywhere w/o my Fujifilm finepix S1000 fd - only negative is its still a bit large, won't fit in a pocket, but I really like the images that it produces, esp. for the price point and the features that is has. Its a bit dated now, what with no IS (for example), and its IQ is not as great as desired... but still, for what it is and what it can do, I like. http://www.digitalcamerareview.com …review=fuji+finepix+s1000 (external link)

With that said, I'm looking at something like the S95 or similar to have smaller package, plus with better IQ and additional features [Including quality video].

A G7 which is growing old and moving towards retirement. It is to heavy, and not doing very well in low light. Currently hesitating between a S95 and an IXUS 300 HS (SD 4000). A decision should occur soon.

My G9 is with me almost all the time. I've built a little kit that fits in a little Rezo or my Camel-Bak for scouting, but most of the time it is hanging on my belt...
