Hellooo!

I haven't really done much motorsport photography since about 2006 when I developed creative differences with it and subsequently photography in general. The latter has since been resolved but I'm not sure about the former, hence these are more landscapes that happen to have cars racing through them ... in any case, about a month ago I was at Castle Combe and happened to take these because the mist presented itself as being quite pretty. Here are, quite literally, "some" photographs:

Yours, Photography's answer to Jim Rockford - a question nobody had asked,

Thank you. There seems to be some resentment around for Caterham racing but if nothing else they have always produced a good, close race whenever I have seen them, so I've never really understood the objections ...

Yours, reducing my scrap paper pile,

Owain.

I too found the back end of this season fraught with artistic differences with my work. Same shot different day, seemed to sum it up. The first of your 2 photos gives me hope and proves that I'm ony limited by my own imagination.

Landscapes of Motorsport - it is the way to go :-)

That was what I decided to bolt from at the end of 2006. I had tried everything I could think of - tried too hard I would say in retrospect - to avoid repetition. Shooting nearly every week doesn't give you much time to come up with new ideas or new perspectives. I definitely burned myself out. Coming back to it after a few years away shooting very differently helps with seeing it anew ...

That's a far better way of looking at the problem than the way I chose! Good on you! That statement has in turn inspired me ...

Could well be. I think I'll attempt a few more next season ...

My thanks and best wishes with resolving your creative differences ...

Yours, inspired but growing tired,

Owain.
