Ok, here it goes. (I will compare it to my 300D, please don't take it as shooting down the 300D, cause that camera is great...)

I picked up my new 20D a couple of weeks ago...first impressions...much better build than my 300D, feels better, looks better...just a sexy camera. I need the grip though, from being so used to it with the 300D.

So, I had done about 4-5 weddings with my 300D, 580EX and mostly my 24-70L. I shoot only in Raw format..and I love it. Processing the pictures from the 300D in Raw took much longer than it does with the 20D, it seems like..well, like the picture and exposures are just spot on almost with the 20D. There is a huge difference between the two cameras. I found myself having to adjust the exposure level of the pictures from the 20D a hell of a lot less...I am CRAZY about this camera.

All the custom functions are great to have...and the NOISE LEVELS ARE INSANE LOW! I could not believe how much noise was not there, at 1600!

I think anyone trying to decide if they want this camera or not should just go for it, I was a little nervous about it..but took the chance and am so glad that I have. The lens I own right now helps out a lot, but still...such a great camera...

The only thing was...I had to buy a card reader, and download some plugins to get to use the raw files, but in the end...it is like twice as fast...take the pics off of the card, and open them up in CS and go to town...I did half a wedding last night in like one hour.

Any questions, I would be glad to help out...

I've had the grip with my 20D for several months now and I haven't had any problems other than the flexing issue, where if you hold it by the grip with a big lens and external flash attached, it loses power... but I applied one of the fixes seen on several forums and haven't had any problems with it.

Good to know, I will have to pick one up...

Thing is, I pretty much always use my 580EX and the heavy 24-70....so...thats a bad combo for that problem.

yeah, that's gonna put quite a bit of strain on it... if you can, go to a store and bring your equipment to test it out before you buy it and see how it holds up
