joeseph "smells like turd" More info | Aug 31, 2005 01:38 | #17 Had intermittant lockup problems (every few days) with mine and eventually Canon replaced the body after alledgedly not being able to reproduce the problem. I've had zero problems with the replacement. Still learning how to drive it! some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Problem is I didn't read the rebate carefully and waited 3 1/2 weeks to send it, 4 days after expiration. On the phone, they weren't sympathetic. We'll see. Dumb mistake hua? Also; I see that Dell's got 25% off now, hurts even more "aaaaghhh"

Fast, clever, easy to use, and *very* good at low-light situations. Try ISO 1600 or even H and you'll be convinced, especially with fast glass (f/2.8 or f1.8). And yes granted, you are correct more people will come out and complain than those who have no problem. What I am trying to do is exactly the opposite of what you think I'm doing. I guess I really should have named the thread who has zero problems with their 20D. because that's what I really want to see, people coming out of the wood work to praise a camera that they have had "no" problems with and not trying to sugar coat problems. I originally meant for it to be a poll, but screwed that up LOL I have had zero problems myself. Well, I do have 2 hot pixels on night shots with exposures of a few seconds or more, but I think that is somewhat normal. 20d / Tamron 28-75 2.8 / Canon 10-22 / Canon 100mm macro

It would send the camera batty....the LCD screen on top would flicker, I would lose my focus points and the LCD screen on the back would not stay on for me to view images.
