Thanks for taking on the hosting duties this week John. Congrats to Allen, Jason & Rafael for their winning entries.
I am sorry I will be out for the next contest...going to take care of my ailing mom for a few days.

Congratulations Allen! You achieved a very beautiful shot of a very simple object, which is the hardest part for me! nicely done. Congrats Jason as well and thanks a lot for the 3rd place, that was certainly unexpected! Thanks a lot John for hosting and an interesting subject. These are all beautiful entries, I enjoyed watching... though I was uncertain why they were so few pictures just up till the very end... I see you folks wait until the very last minute to post your shocking images :).

Friends, I wanted to say hi! This was my first time participating in the DLSR challenges. I saw one of Maureen's posts over at the G series challenges about this and came in to just look around, and I ended up beign recruited my Maureen! :) Thanks a lot!

I have a somewhat new (about a month old) T2i and I have been enjoying it immensely. For my picture I found myself looking at a nice thunderstorm at 3pm... light was plenty enough to not allow for long shutter speeds, so I connected the remote shooter to the camera and shot around 600 images in continuous shooting over a period of around 1 or 2 hours. Of those 600, 5 contain a lightning in it :). But, I was certainly glad I got lucky enough to capture this!

Thanks again to everyone and I look forward to being a regular participant of these contests in the future.

Best regards,
Rafa.
edit: Maureen, I just read your post after submitting mine, I hope your mother gets well soon! No one better than someone with such a great nursing hand and loving daughter to take care of her. My best wishes and thoughts.
