1DsII vs 5DII - which to get?

I've been targetting a 5D2, with the idea of picking one up in the next 2-3 weeks...
I've used one many times, indoors and out, weddings, etc...
and I really like the camera

someone then offered me a used 1DsII, around 50-60K actuations, extra batteries...

I know the sealing and AF is better on the 1Ds, and the LCD is smaller...

Aside from all that, I don't know which way to lean....

anyone have experience with both?

main objective is weddings...

Did the 5dmk2 do everything you wanted? If everything went well, Just get it and enjoy it.

If it didnt...what didnt you like about it?

The latest 1 series full frame is the 1DsMk3.

well the 5d2 has micro adjust, video, and better high iso. Center AF point on the 5d2 is very accurate.

I'm still leaning on the 5DII...
I just didn't want to see a 1DsII pass me by and then find out I should have picked it up!

Eh...just get a 5Dmk2 and be happy and stop worrying. The 5Dmk2 is a great camera, easy to use and has everything you will need....

For weddings the 5dmk2 will be close to unbeatable. Only second to 1dsmk3.

The 5D2 has a wider ISO range and being one or possibly two stops faster would help at weddings. Then you also have AF in live view. Switching on Live View locks up the mirror so you can shoot ' silently ' which is pretty useful in churches.

In your shoes I'd stay with the 5D2 and use your 40D as a back up.
