Wow, would have jumped even though I can;t afford it if it was the version II.
This looks like a Debacle for sure.

This was to be expected I guess.

But,... a 3rd party retailer making this error would make sense, Canon?

If that's true then they're crazy! Why would a refurb cost more than a new model?

Mark I "refurb" is listed as $1,599.20
Mark I "new" is listed as $1,449.00.

Be interesting to see if they get the deal! fingers crossed!

It's happened before, I was one of the lucky ones that got the famous "Dell 70-200mm f/2.8L IS"

and;https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=17448

...many years back.
Dell mislabeled the lens with the Non IS price! We got the IS version for $1,100.00 bucks!

Ah, ok. I grabbed the wrong one because there is no "IS" Mark I available on their listing of new lenses store (unless I'm going blind and not seeing that either. :o)

I just cleared the shopping cart, added the Mark I to the again - got the 7042A006AA sku . You might want to call on that so you don't get stuck buying the wrong lens.

Canon Terms state - "The Canon online store reserves the right to decline or cancel orders at any time. "

Well, I hate to break it to you but that number is for the Mark I, not Mark II. At least it is on Adorama website (http://www.adorama.com …tailsdisc&sku=CA70200ISUR (external link)). The number for Mark II is "2751B002". I hope I'm wrong and you get the Mark II version though.

The title of my order is now showing Mark 1.. However the description is still:

Overview

Improving upon one of the most celebrated lenses in the Canon EF line is no easy feat, but Canon has done just that. The all-new EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM increases the speed, performance and optical quality of the EF 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM while maintaining all of the characteristics that have made it a legend for professionals and advanced amateurs alike. The EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM features one fluorite and five UD elements for increased optical quality and reduced chromatic aberration. It has a minimum focusing distance of 1.2m/3.9 ft. at all zoom settings, which is useful for photographers in smaller spaces trying to get closer to a subject. It features a next-generation Optical Image Stabilizer, providing up to 4 stops of correction at all focal lengths. And as with all L-series lenses, the EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM is dust- and moisture-resistant and designed for use in the challenging environments typical of rigorous professional use.
