A first for me.
I know kingfishers are fairly common in the U.K., but I don't think there are many of these on Guernsey.
Just beautiful colours on a bird which, apart from books, I have never seen in the wild before.
Observed him on saturday, shot him on sunday when I had a rough idea of where he'd be. Involved some luck tho', was just about to pack up and go home empty handed when he landed nearby.
I could crop alittle more, but like the sense of proportion of what is quite a small bird. What do you think?
