can we add a small mug before the actual image? the reason i am asking is because i know the creativity of this bunch at times, and even though it will be a "self-portrait," we won't be able to identify the person very well. and, i, for one, would like to see what some of you look like......just on the off chance i ever leave my neck of the woods.

Straightening...lol. Every time I straighten the horizon, I hang the picture crooked.

So you're saying you want to see the real me before you see "the REAL me" (LOL)

I like Cuba's, too.

Some of you have more skills in post than I will ever obtain. Kent, very cool shot. Phil and I took a more traditional route. I guess we are the old fuddy-duddies of the group....lol.

Thanks chopper. Seems like Cuba is about to get a well deserved victory here...

I don't know what fuddy-duddies mean, but I guess that I disagree on it. All of the pictures was great this time. My creativity starts by stealing from others with a robin hood mentality.... Take from the rich (of creativity) and give to the poor (me).

I always make a search on Flickr before each challenge, and get inspired by others creativity. So my skills are actually to go out there and dublicate what others have done before me. I haven't seen a picture exactly like this one, but a portrait of a person laying did inspired me. Anyhow, that is how everyone is learning art... you start by getting inspired by others. You do that in music, writing, painting.... and definently with the camera. Then you try to make something like it, and if you stay open for inspiration and open the eyes for other perspectives, you normaly ends up with something totaly different, something that you can call youre own.

At the same time, remember that taste is a personal matter. I posted the same picture on a german forum. 400 watched the picture and none of them liked it... :) Still I like it myselves. So, taste is definently a subjectiv science...

I like them all but I'm going to vote for Kent because I think it is very different and "out there!" I agree - that mug shot is great! Very sharp!

sorry no contribution this time. Sick child and no time to set up a self potrait! Plus no creativity...
