New edition of SNS-HDR has been released. From a few tests, this is a really good upgrade to Sebastian's excellent app. Creates some of the nicest realistic HDR images. So many new tweaks that it will take days to fully explore ; separate white balance for highlights for instance!

(Translated version info)

Changes in Version 1.3.0
Changed the color management module (better color reproduction).
Changed memory management module (support for images to 24Mpix 32bit systems).
Added support for multiple monitors (docked panels).
Added support for group processing of images (Pro version only).
Added image presets.
Added parameter mikrodetali with the field curve.
Added parameter of the black level.
Added the ability to separate and determine the white balance temperature for the area lights.
Added ability to rotate images.
Added change history.
Added automatic removal of spirits (outside lights)
Added the ability to convert colors to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 when saving images.
Added support for reading images in 48bit format.
Added support for importing images from external programs.
Fixed align photo.
Reduced level of noise generated.
Reduced halo effect.
Updated dcraw to version 9.04

This is pretty cool - I would have to run this virtually on my Mac, but the app looks like it is making headway. Can you, in a test at your convenience, confirm that the "automatic removal of spirits" is a glare or flare reduction type correction? To my knowledge, only Greg Ward's Photosphere has a flare reduction algorithm and Unifed Color (Expose and Float32) do veiling glare reduction. These features add subtle but worthwhile corrections to 32 bit images.

Thanks for the heads up.

Hi Kirk,

I think it is the Google Translate getting it a bit off - this is the de-ghosting feature that he is applying to highlight regions :) Seems to work well on Trees etc. from my limited testing overnight. It is slower than the old version but has good batch functions to process directories of bracketed shots in one go.
