G'Day Felix, welcome to ozz. somthing just dosent look right to me in this pic, mabey its that the highlights are blown, or it could be that your model is right in the middle of the pic - mabey a tighter crop would help ( crop from her feet and leave about 1/2 the space above her, or it could be that her head blocks the tracks behind her? From the shaddow of the model id say this pic was taken around miday with the sun directly overhead? dont get me wrong its a good pic but to me its not great one.

Agreed mate, it was a pic taken in the spur of the moment without any of my stuff at hand unfortunately.. I could have nicely got rid of that shadow if it was planned :)

The blown out parts are done on purpose just to add to the processing of the picture. I see what you mean about it being too directly on.. Thanks for the feedback, it's always a pleasure to learn from what you do.

Yeah.. I was a bit bummed with not having my stuff but I liked the picture (overlooking the harsh light).

Does the processing not work? Is it too warm, etc? Not blaming my workmans tools but the laptop i edit on is a bit naff (can't wait to get a PC again lol)

Its pretty warm, but im not one to judge on the color balance of a picture. Its all in how you wanted it to be edited :).

really need to sort out making things too warm in post! haha.. It was more of a test of the lens as well as I borrowed it from a friend, it's pretty decent compared to my own lenses! Very impressed with it
