OK, I have to tell you that right now I'm pretty unhappy with Adoramapix.

After reading on their site and seeing that they had UPS 1 day air delivery I spent a great deal of time creating a book for my father's memorial later this month (January 22nd) where I need 13 copies. They also say they take 7 days to process.

I go to place my order and I can only get UPS surface mail to Canada, and when I talk to a rep on the phone they tell me I can FedEx the books with no idea of delivery time and it will take two weeks to make them. Pretty disappointing to go in believing I had days to spare to meet my deadline only to now find out it was a waste of time. The rep was very polite, but was clear they can't deliver on time.

I think that's pretty fair actually. For the size of your order. I'm not trying to step on toes, but why did you wait till now to start doing them?

Well, people don't always die on schedule. ;)

I also wouldn't think that 13 books is a big order.

Adorama simply needs to correct their website to ensure their customers have the correct information. They don't mention that Canadian customers will get poorer delivery options than US customers and they don't stat that processing will take longer than 7 days for orders that have more than1 book.

You are absolutely correct. I've notified the webmaster and emailed the Director at AdoramaPix.
Did you actually place your order? If so, email me your order number and I'll see if there is anything I can do to help.

Thanks Helen.

I didn't place the order since I didn't think there was any hope. And to make things worse I totally messed up after getting off the phone and deleted my final work instead of my earlier backup (maybe I'm cursed!).

I'll place it tonight. Also, is there any chance I can get my file recovered? If so I'll send you my username.

John at AdoramaPix MAY be able to do something, but he'll need all your details. I'll PM them to you.

No need to recover the file Helen, I was able to recreate it. I ordered the 13 books tonight and sent you an email with the details.

Hi Steve,

They look quite good. Unfortunately looks like they are in the US though, not UK?

Ok, maybe Adorampix has some problems with their website, but the service provided by Helen and John with regards to my order has been very impressive.

Great to know. I've recommended them to a some clients, but haven't had feedback on what route they've gone and if they were satisfied. Putting that on the "to-do" list.

Adoramapix continues to impress by doing an absolutely fantastic job getting my books to me in record time. And they look great!

If I were their boss I'd take John and Helen out for a very nice lunch and then give them each a big raise :)

Hey John,

I would suggest you become a fan of Adoramapix on Facebook. The reason why...Ingrid posts regular updates on the status of production. During and just after the holiday season they get swamped and the 7 day turnaround becomes almost 15. Also in the early fall there are several Jewish holidays for which they are closed. Facebook has been the best way to keep abreast of the situation. I hope you like your books...I have always been very satisfied with the product.

Just wanted to say I got my book last weekend and it rocks! The quality of the paper is top notch and the binding seems great also. The only thing I dont like is the cover. Hopefully soon they will come out with a different material for the cover. Mine is black and I don't like how finger prints show up all over the place. That said, people have commented on it and really like it. For the price I dont think you can beat it.
