I posted a few on another thread and wasn't sure if I was allowed to or should add to that thread (as it's a few weeks old), so I am starting a new one.

Again, this is my first try at Senior Portraits. The subjects are my daughter and a friend. I really wanted to get the beautiful fall color in there and the girls chose the bridge background.

Not everyone (including me) likes a lot of special effects, but the girls wanted a few (including the tilt -- something I otherwise avoid.) I think it worked OK on the first one though.

Any feedback is appreciated!

1. w/tilt & heartland-like processing

2. Very colorful foliage background. This was tricky, even processing in DPP, due to the vivid color and her very pale skin (it's her favorite, though.)

3. She wanted a shot with her guitar. Process in B&W.

4. At a local bridge (I see the strand of hair on her face and will try to correct that before printing.)

I am a fan of some tilt. I dont think every photo needs to have it though either. This one does not work for me though. I am not 100% sure as to why. I think maybe because its not enough tilt? Something just isnt doing it for me. Also the bridge is coming out of her head. You nailed the exposure on every single one of these shots. The processing is not overdone. They are great.

I have to say that my thought was that the tilt should be more, too, but I just couldn't manage it without losing her shoes (I only semi-tilted while actually taking the photo -- it's not something I think to do in general.) But, I tried it for her sake and she loves it. (I also gave her the straight-up option.) Thanks for your comments! :)

Thanks, Dan -- I feel compelled to offer, at least, one B&W per session (though it may be a few more than that, depending on the pictures.) I just love them. :)
