135 F2.0 + Life-Size Converter. F2.0, 1/250sec 550 Flash manual focus

Guess I don't really need the Sigma 150 macro that I have been lusting for.

Just wondering, do you have any idea of the range of magnification this combo gives?

I don't know what the magnification is but I think it must be greater than 2:1

A "macro" lens will focus from infinity down to lifesize without any gaps. I was wondering if there are gaps with the setup you use and just what it may be.

The "LSC" will force the loss of infinity focus on a normal lens.. in this sense it behaves very similar to "Extension tubes" or "Macro rings" etc..

It allows you to focus closer than "normal" but you sacrifice the distance...

If that be the case and since the LSC costs as much as the 50mm f/2.5 macro, which focuses from infinity to half-lifesize, perhaps some may wish to consider that alturntive.

Ahh yes.. but to get true 1/1 Macro with the 50mm.. one must use the Life Size Converter that was in fact intended for use with the 50mm Compact macro in the first place...

It's a vicous circle!
